This is the accessibility statement for the Metrospective web service

This accessibility statement applies to the Metrospective service. Metropolia University of Applied Sciences strives to meet the criteria outlined in the WCAG 2.2 guidelines at the A and AA levels.

Our goal is to provide digital services that are accessible to all users. In this accessibility statement, we outline the accessibility issues found within the service and explain how you can provide feedback and suggestions for improving the service’s accessibility. This accessibility statement was published on 21 January 2025.

The description of the site's accessibility is based on an assessment by Metropolia and an external expert organisation.

Status of the Digital Service's Accessibility

The service largely meets accessibility requirements.

Non-Accessible Content

Accessibility issues are grouped under the following categories:

  • Perceivable
  • Operable
  • Understandable
  • Robust
  • Other Accessibility Issues

Perceivable

There are issues in responsiveness

Some content is lost when the screen is narrowed to 320 CSS pixels wide. (1.4.10)

Keyboard focus contrast is insufficient in some places

There are areas in the service where the keyboard focus contrast is too weak against the background. (1.4.11)

Operable

Skip to content links do not work with all technologies

The skip to content links do not move the view when using the VoiceOver screen reader on iOS devices. (2.4.3)

Robust

There are deficiencies in the implementation of image views

The images that open are missing a descriptive role. Closing the view does not return the focus to the element that opened the view. (4.1.2), (2.4.3)

Other Accessibility Issues

The service may include third-party content that does not meet all accessibility requirements.
